Overview

Genome editing holds the transformative power to revolutionise medical treatments, agricultural practices, and our understanding of genetics. The self-paced course “The CRISPR revolution: a course for educators and CRISPR enthusiasts“, organised by EMBL's Science Education and Public Engagement team in partnership with Merck, aims to give an overview and deep dive into the field of genome editing and CRISPR research and help educators teach the topic in class.

The free course will run online from 1 May to 9 June 2024, allowing educators and anyone interested in learning more about genome editing to join at any time and explore the course content at their own pace. At the end of the course, you can obtain a certificate of attendance by completing a short feedback questionnaire.

The course is free, with an estimated workload of 2 hours per week, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a certificate upon completion. The working language of the course is English and anyone interested can join at any point until 9 June 2024.
